The town hall was built in 1763 on the orders of the first External Judge, Dr. Francisco António Gravito, and underwent various later alterations.

A late 18th century manor house in the Mannerist style, with the Mansilha family coat of arms prominently displayed. It is now Alijó Cultural Centre.
