It is a sculpture by José Luis Darocha. It is a tribute to S. Pedro and to the traditional wealth production of the parish of São Pedro de Castelões.

It is a bronze statue showing the miner and all his working costumes. It is located near the mining complex of Germunde, in the national road EN222 .
