Description
The Venade cross stone is a piece of stone, in baroque style, built between 1760 and 1790, at the expenses of the people.
Based on octogonal of 5 steps, with pedestal base, salomonic column, adorned with plant motifs and capital resembling a crown of a single piece, upon which is based the cross with Christ. The middle column is Nossa Senhora da Conceição trampling a serpent. It has three cherubs on feet and two angels to crown it. The base is decorated with acanthus leaves. The pedestal is square and has four corners in the representative figures of the evangelists.
