Description
Dated from the last year of the 16th century, D. Frei Agostinho de Jesus (1588-1609) ordered the construction of this convent. Carlos Amarante got his first opportunity to test his architectural talents, preserving mainly the interior of the Maneirist structure and respecting the Baroque facade, especially noticeable in the top of the towers, he introduced the first daring neoclassic.
