STONE PILLORY OF LALIM

Lamego
Description

The stone pillory of Lalim is from the Manueline period, certainly signalling the autonomy given by the document of King Manuel I (The Fortunate). It is based on four squared steps, with a large base where this stone pillory lays, with an octagonal stem expanding on the top and finishing with a pyramidal trunk.
