River of great beauty, is born near the Shrine of Nossa Senhora da Lapa, on the edge of Quintela parish, and flows into the Ria de Aveiro. In an extensive slough, springs from a small hole the water flow which gives soul to the Vouga, and from here is being thicken until reach the Atlantic Ocean. A sort of menhir, placed next to the spring, marks the site, which is accessed by a requalified rail and surrounded by a mountain landscape.
