Santa Tecla, Sta. Barbara and Sta. Luzia religious festival

Esposende
Description
Also known as Santa Tecla Sands, justified by the proximity of the ocean and sands of its beaches, annually flock with devotion to this festivity people of Castelo de Neiva and other parishes proximity.

One of the old traditions that made their festivities, which took place after the Sunday procession were the so-called "dancing Santa Tecla", consisting of two distinct and curious moments together: a representation where he alluded to the judgment of a old woman who wanted to marry with a young, part of this comic staging a judge, an old woman and the scribe; and three dances - the "stick dance", "Dance of the mast" and "Dance of the sheets".

In addition to this attractive if performed equally to "Cow Santana" it was nothing more, nothing less, than the "cow of Fire" made famous in so many other festivals.
