Pillorie of Torre de Moncorvo

Torre de Moncorvo
Description

This monument, there are only two elements of granite, of Manueline period. The first shows the arms of Portugal surrounded by a bird, possibly a crow, missing the head, which would be the shot of the pillory. The other element has four faces, three of which are carved: the armillary sphere, a Tower and M surmounted by a raven, representing the municipal heraldry.
