The viewpoint of Oural is located next to the geodesic milestone of Oural, on the boundary between the municipalities of Vila Verde, Ponte da Barca and Ponte de Lima.
With an altitude of 700 metres, here the River Covo, River Neiva and River Trovela are born. Those who comes here will not feel indifferent to the amazing diversity of landscape perspectives on the territories that the eye can reach. Among the dryer’s weed, furze and oak forests, the look fades in the vastness of the mountains of Minho and panoramic 360º on the Douro and Minho Mountains, namely Arga (NW), and hills of Galicia (N), Peneda and Soajo (NE), Amarela and Gerês (E), Cabreira and Alvão / Marão (SE) and Sameiro (S), as well as the Atlantic coast (SW) between Póvoa de Varzim and Mindelo. Also worth mentioning are the granitic outcrops and forms, as well as the tumulus of talefe located 100 metres south of the geodesic milestone.
