Inaugurated at July 31, 1993, the Luís Teixeira Cultural Centre had a leading equipment for over twenty years, and it was a space favourable for the realization of performances, exhibitions, book presentations and various cultural events. Although arise other equipment which complement the cultural offer in the city, today is used for various purposes apart from the integrating the GIP - Professional Insertion Office - and be host to several actions of training, general assemblies and meetings. The Cultural Centre has the name of Luis Teixeira for being an offer, both ground and building, of a valpacense businessman (deceased).
