The facade is in the style of late Portuguese baroque, profusely decorated in granite typical of the region, with vigorous bas-relief motifs which contrast strongly with the whiteness of the walls It was constructed in the second half of the 18th century and situated in one of the grandest streets of the town, previously called Rua Sapateira.
