The chapel was opened in 1874 and enlarged in 1908. The tower was built in 1904.
This eclectic building was considered unnecessary when the new church next door was built.
Only the façade and the tower were left, as a testament to the building that was fundamental in the history of the parish's autonomization created on 14.10.1933, b as it was detached from Navais.
The parish began in 1934 and had in this chapel its first parish church.
