The Maia Handball Cup is the biggest international tournament regularly held in Portugal. It takes place in the city of Maia, where thousands of handball practitioners from all over the world, participate in an event with multiple recreation and leisure activities. Clubs, schools and groups of friends from 6 to 75 years, can take part. It is played both in great halls and synthetic grass. Every year more than 500 handball games are played. This international event has several parallel activities such as concerts, parties, karaoke, disco, equestrian, technical workshop, water sports, beaches, official ceremonies, international cultural competitions, miss election and mister MHC, tennis, among many others.
