Casa das Eiras, Molares (Manor House)

Celorico de Basto
Description
Casa das Eiras, in the parish of Molares, maintains the Rococo style and presently features neoclassical characteristics, thereby presuming that this manor house was built in the late 18th century and in early 19th century.

The chapel in honour of San Francisco presents a modest architecture, since it was built after the House, at a time of less financial abundance. The notable elements of this House is the fan-shaped staircase, the impressive front entrance, and the lintels of the Windows turned into monolithic cut arches.
